After a lengthy discussion at their regular meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 4, the Breckenridge City Commission voted unanimously to raise the water rates by 4.14%, beginning in 2027.
Breckenridge High School’s 2026 Homecoming is scheduled for the first home game of the season on Sept. 4.
The scrimmage is part of the statewide “Our Day to Shine” program.
The Breckenridge Police Department won bragging rights for the next year, after the agency was declared the winner in the community’s annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, hosted by the Breckenridge Rotary Club and Carter BloodCare.
