Carrol and Jack Morehart to celebrate 50th anniversary

Jack and Carrol Morehart will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Breckenridge.

Jack Morehart and the former Carrol Austin met on a blind date in November 1971 when they both were living in Dallas attending college. Carrol was attending the Baylor University School of Nursing, and Jack was attending the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science.

They were married on May 26, 1973, in Cedar Hill, Texas, at Cedar Heights Baptist Church.

They started Morehart Mortuary in 1983. Carrol worked as a registered nurse for Stephens Memorial Hospital. They are members of First Baptist Church of Breckenridge.

Jack and Carrol have three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Sonya Morehart, Matthew and Aimee Morehart, and Micah and Jaclyn Morehart. They have eight grandchildren, Gracie, Jake, Luke, Siler, Jackson, Davis, Gabe and Miles.

The family invites the community to stop in and visit with Jack and Carrol during their anniversary party on Sunday. (No gifts, please.)
