Wednesday, Sept. 25
Homecoming Parade & Bonfire
Breckenridge High School’s 2024 Homecoming parade, pep rally and bonfire will be on Wednesday, Sept. 25, and this year’s Homecoming theme is “Deep in the Heart of Breckenridge.” The parade is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, and will proceed down Walker Street from Miller Street to Court Street. Following the parade, there will be a pep rally and community prayer at the Stephens County Courthouse, 200 W. Walker St. After the events downtown, the crowd will be invited to attend a bonfire at the baseball fields on North Breckenridge Avenue (U.S. Highway 183). Vendors and food trucks will be onsite. There will be another pep rally and the Homecoming football game on Friday, Sept. 27. Click here for more details.
Friday, Sept. 27
BHS Homecoming Pep Rally and Football Game
There will be a Homecoming pep rally at noon Friday, Sept. 27, in the Breckenridge ISD Athletic Facility (big gym), at the corner of West Second Street and North Live Oak Street. The Homecoming game against the Tolar High School Rattlers will start at 7 p.m. in Buckaroo Stadium. The Homecoming Queen festivities will start at 6:30 p.m. on the field. Saturday, Sept. 28
Johnny Bates Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament
The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Johnny Bates Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Breckenridge Country Club with tee times at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The two-person tournament is an 18-hole scramble. Golfers are invited to lunch at noon and all participants will receive an event golf towel. More details to come.
Tuesday, Oct. 1
National Night Out
The Breckenridge Police Department and the City of Breckenridge will present the annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the local Law Enforcement Center, 210 E. Dyer St. More details to come.
Saturday, Oct. 5
2024 Juried Art Show Closing Reception
The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center’s 2024 Juried Art Show will wrap up with a closing reception for the artists from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. The show opened on Tuesday, July 23, and will run through Oct. 5, in the main gallery. Click here for more details.

The Sloan Everett Pure Country Pedal Memorial Bike Ride
The eighth annual The Sloan Everett Pure Country Pedal Memorial Bike Ride will be Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Breckenridge City Park. All net proceeds from the event will be directly donated to the three local volunteer fire departments of Stephens County: Caddo, Hubbard Creek and Wayland. More details to come.

Jonnie W. Performance
The National Theatre of Breckenridge will present a performance by comedian Jonnie W. on Saturday, Oct. 19. Click here for more details.
Saturday, Oct. 26
Stephens County Health Fair
Stephens Memorial Hospital will host the 2024 Stephens County Health Fair on Oct. 26 at the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church from 7-11 a.m. SMH will offer free blood work, door prizes, and information from a variety of vendors. More details to come.
