Logan Scott Bills, age 25, was arraigned on a First Degree Murder charge by Stephens County Judge Michael Roach at the courthouse this afternoon, Monday, Nov. 25. Bills is being held on a $400,000 bond.

The shooting took place at a residence on South Stoker Avenue Friday afternoon.

A Breckenridge man was shot and killed on South Stoker Avenue on Friday afternoon, Nov. 22.

Multiple emergency responders were on the scene of a house fire that started about 11:20 p.m. Monday night in northwest Breckenridge.

The Texas Department of Public Safety announced Friday, Oct. 11, that a 14-year-old murder case in Stephens County has been solved.

The local community had a chance to meet law enforcement officers, first responders and others at the annual National Night Out event, hosted by the Breckenridge Police Department last week.

Stanley Dale Madison Jr., 28, of Breckenridge, pleaded guilty in the 90th Judicial District Court on Wednesday, Aug. 28, to three state jail felony offenses of burglary.

The Breckenridge Fire Department reclaimed the championship title in the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, hosted by the Rotary Club of Breckenridge and Carter BloodCare.
