Downtown Breckenridge decorated for holidays; more Christmas activities scheduled for upcoming weeks


The Chamber of Commerce’s annual Community-Wide Sidewalk and Garage Sale will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at locations throughout Breckenridge.

The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce has rescheduled the community Christmas Parade.

The lighted parade is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Dec. 10.

The entries in the 2021 Breckenridge Christmas Parade on Wednesday, Dec. 8, reflected the ideas of “What Christmas Means to Me” for those who built and rode on the floats.

Christmas is 20 days away, and downtown Breckenridge is decked out with lots of lights and other holiday decorations.

On Friday evening, the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual Mingle & Jingle shopping event and the lighting of the City of Breckenridge’s community Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and on Wednesday, Dec. 8, the Chamber will sponsor a lighted Christmas parade through downtown.

With the holiday season quickly approaching, the Breckenridge community will soon have several events on the calendar. However, some of the traditional activities will be a little different this year as community leaders continue to try and keep the number of local cases of COVID-19 as low as possible.
