Beginning Wednesday, March 4, the Texas Department of Transportation’s contractor will begin routine maintenance work on and under the U.S. Highway 180 bridge over Hubbard Creek Reservoir.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has provided updates on two major road construction projects in Breckenridge in an email received by Stephens County Judge Michael Roach on April 28, 2025.
The new traffic signals at the intersection of U.S. Highway 180 West and FM 3099 in Stephens County, near Walmart and Tractor Supply, will be fully operational next week.
The work on the bridge is scheduled to take place overnight from about 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily Sundays through Thursdays.
