Nightly lane closures set for continued maintenance of U.S. 180 bridge over Hubbard Creek Reservoir

The Texas Department of Transportation said last week that the contractor will be cleaning and sealing bridge joints on the U.S. Highway 180 bridge (aka “The Mile Long Bridge”) over Hubbard Creek Reservoir, beginning this week.
Crews will be working overnight from about 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily Sundays through Thursdays. TxDOT expects the project to take three weeks and will finish cleaning and sealing all the bridge joints.
While work is ongoing, traffic will be reduced to one lane of travel, and there will be temporary traffic control during this time. TxDOT advises drivers to use caution and patience when driving in and near the work zone; watch for crews and equipment; avoid distractions; and drive safely, according to the conditions.
The work is a continuance of the maintenance work started which started last year.
