Stephens County residents who need to get rid of old tires will have an opportunity to do that next weekend when the Leon Bosque Resource Conservation and Development Council hosts a free tire disposal event.

On a night and week filled with homecoming festivities, the Breckenridge Buckaroos varsity football team looked to gain their first win of the 2024 season Friday night as they hosted the Tolar Rattlers. However, knocking off a 2023 state finalist team was too tall of a task, and the Buckaroos ultimately fell to the Rattlers 42-6.
Cabel Perkins and Ayden Williamson were crowned as the 2024 Breckenridge High School Homecoming Queen and Homecoming King in a ceremony before the start of tonight’s football game.
