It was just about standing-room-only at the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center on Saturday afternoon as artists and art patrons gathered for the final day of the 32nd annual Juried Art Show.

The eighth annual Sloan Everett Pure Country Pedal Memorial Bike Ride is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, in the Breckenridge City Park, offering five routes, brunch, live entertainment and a chance to help support local volunteer fire departments.

Elliott Street Church of Christ will host the third annual “Gathering” on Sunday, Oct. 13, at the church, located at 1701 W. Elliott.

In celebration Constitution Week, a group of fifth graders at South Elementary performed the play “Unite or Die: How Thirteen States Became a Nation” for their fellow fifth graders, as well as parents and teachers in the school cafeteria/auditorium.

From the Walk Across Texas program to a pickleball league, the Stephens County AgriLife Extension Service has a variety activities coming up for local residents, both adults and youth.

The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center will host a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, for the artists featured 2024 Juried Art Show.
