City of Breckenridge lifts Boil Water Notice issued on Tuesday

The City of Breckenridge has rescinded the Boil Water Notice issued earlier on Sept. 5; click here to see the original notice with a map.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue the Boil Water Notices to inform water customers that due to a water line break which occurred recently in the public water system, water from the system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.
The City took the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.
The Sept. 5 notice affected the area from FM 3099 to just east of Gebo’s and from Northglen to West Walker Street. It also included the Cactus Cove, Medina Court, Gaston Court and Pembrook Street.
