City of Breckenridge lifts Boil Water Notice

Effective Tuesday, May 9, the City of Breckenridge has rescinded the boil water notice that was issued on Friday for several blocks in the western portion of Breckenridge after a water line was hit by a sub-contractor working on FM 3099.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to the problem, water from the system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.

The City took the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.
