Stephens Regional SUD rescinds Boil Water Notice for rural water customers
April 29
14:30 2022

The Stephens Regional Special Utility District has rescinded the Boil Water Notice for all its customers that was issued on Wednesday, April 27.

Due to a loss of pressure as a result of a power outage that occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on April 27, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), required the Stephens Regional Special Utility District] to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform the public that water from the system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Stephens Regional SUD reports that they have taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by the public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of Friday, April 29.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Kelvin Nickell, Water Plant Operator, at 254-488-2333. The District’s office, located at 206 FM 3099, Breckenridge, TX 76424, 254-559-6180.
