One person was injured in a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday evening, June 4, at the Breckenridge City Park.
Four people were hospitalized, including a Breckenridge Police Department sergeant, following a high-speed chase that started Wednesday night in west Shackelford County and ended with a crash in the midst of the construction zone on Breckenridge’s Walker Street.
The police department and sheriff’s office will continue operating as separate entities in Breckenridge and Stephens County after a public hearing ended in a unanimous vote by the City Commissioners to go on maintaining their own law enforcement agency and to proceed with a search for a new police chief.
