Higginbotham’s donates protective masks to Stephens County Sheriff’s Office

Higginbotham Brothers in Breckenridge recently donated eight antibacterial masks/respirators to the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office to assist deputies responding to scenes involving dangerous chemicals or foul bacterial odors.
The masks are intended to provide protection in environments with potentially hazardous conditions, such as chemical exposure or strong odors caused by decomposition.
Higginbotham manager Andy Anderson presented the masks to Stephens County Sheriff Kevin Roach earlier this week. According to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Steve Spoon, pastor of ONE Church in Breckenridge, also contributed to the donation.
The equipment is designed to help protect deputies in situations where air quality may be compromised, such as at crime scenes or accidents with chemical exposure or severe decomposition.
“As law enforcement, we often respond to scenes with strong and sometimes hazardous odors,” Roach said in a Facebook post. “These respirators will go a long way in helping our team stay safe and continue to serve our community without putting their health at risk.”
