The annual Stephens County 4-H Plant Sale is returning for its third year, offering a variety of plants and greenery while introducing a new addition – a 4-H Trade Show.

The event will be from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the National Theatre of Breckenridge, 116 E. Walker St.

The Stephens County 4-H shooting sports team will host a fundraising event, “Busting Clays with the Black Mask Shooting Team,” on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Abilene Clay Sports.

At their regular meeting last week, the Stephens County Commissioners honored the local 4-H Range Evaluation and Plant ID team for their recent accomplishments at the recent Texas 4-H Roundup in College Station.

The four Stephens County 4-H’ers who make up the Range Evaluation team and the Plant ID team competed at the Texas 4-H Roundup in College Station last week and won both contests.

The Stephens County 4-H Sewing Club presented the Brannan family with a “Quilt of Valor” on Saturday, May 18, at the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center in honor of the late Dwain Brannan for his military service.

When Breckenridge photographer Rachelle Perry, teaches photography to the kids in the Stephens County 4-H program, it’s all about teaching the rules of good photography. Then, it’s about teaching them how to break those rules.
