Local and state law enforcement are searching for two suspects who were involved in an alleged theft and chase Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 3, that took officers on a circuitous route through Stephens County.

Breckenridge officer was helping with traffic control while City workers did some sewer work when his truck was hit, according to those at the scene.

Law enforcement agencies, along with other first responders and local organizations, gathered on Oct. 3 for National Night Out, hosted by the Breckenridge Police Department.

The annual National Night Out event is designed to strengthen community spirit and partnerships with law enforcement and first responders, and to send a strong message to criminals that the entire community is working together to fight crime.

The Breckenridge Fire Department and other emergency responders are on the scene of a house fire in the 1400 block of East Lindsey Street tonight, Aug. 19.

School starts on Aug. 8, and there are a lot of related activities planned this week.

Back-to-School Bash will be Aug. 2, and School Supplies Donation Booth will be July 28.

The Cooling Station will be open from 2-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 23-24, at the Breckenridge Medical Center, 101 S. Hartford St.
