The Breckenridge High School Lady Buckaroos varsity basketball team had a tough start to their season, facing off against the Merkel High School Maidens and the Abilene High School Lady Eagles.
After a 14-14 tie score at halftime, the Buckaroos came up empty-handed in the second half, and Clyde won the game, 34-14.
Volleyball bi-district game will be Oct. 31, and the state cross country meet will be Nov. 3.
Friday night was the last home game of the season for the Breckenridge Buckaroos, and they beat Bowie 28-21.
With two games left to decide the top four teams from the district, the Buckaroos will need to win the final two games to stay in the playoff conversation.
The Lions came out ahead, 42-20.
