SRSUD lifts Boil Water Notice issued on Aug. 1
The Stephens Regional Special Utility District has rescinded the Boil Water Notice that was issued on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Stephens Regional Special Utility District public water system, PWS 2150007, to issue a Boil Water Notice for customers beginning at the intersection of FM 207 and FM 576 East and continuing south on FM 207, and approximately 4.5 miles west on FM 576 East, including FM 1852 and County Road 148, as well as County Roads 134, 138, 140, 142, 143, and 144. Due to a loss of pressure caused by a line break, the water from the public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
According to a notice received today, Aug. 4, from Stephens Regional SUD, they have taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by the public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and have provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use.
