SRSUD lifts Boil Water Notice for rural water customers
The Stephens Regional Special Utility District has rescinded the Boil Water Notice that was issued on Wednesday, March 29.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Stephens Regional Special Utility District public water system, PWS 2150007, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers on the north side of U.S. Highway 180 East, one half-mile east and west of State Highway 67 intersection, and customers on State Highway 67, extending north, including all adjacent county and farm to market roads, excluding FM 717, that, due to a loss of pressure caused by a line break, the water from the public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
According to a notice received today, March 31, from Stephens Regional SUD, they have taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by the public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and have provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use.
If you have questions concerning this matter, contact Kelvin Nickell, Water Plant Operator at 254-488-2333. The District’s office, located at 206 FM 3099, Breckenridge, TX 76424, 254-559-6180.
