The Stephens Regional Special Utility District has rescinded the Boil Water Notice for all its customers that was issued on Monday, Sept. 20.

On September 20, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Stephens Regional Special Utility District public water system, PWS 2150007, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers that, due to a loss of pressure, the water from the public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

According to a notice received today, Sept. 24, from Stephens Regional SUD, they have taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by the public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and have provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of September 24, 2021.

If you have questions concerning this matter, contact Kelvin Nickell, Water Plant Operator at 254-488-2333. The District’s office, located at 206 FM 3099, Breckenridge, TX 76424, 254-559-6180.
