  • An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 1500 block of West Elliott Street at 7:24 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a resident’s report of a subject’s unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 600 block of West Walker Street at 8:46 a.m.
  • The Breckenridge Police Department Captain arrested a subject on a warrant at the Law Enforcement Center at 8:48 a.m.
  • A deputy responded to a welfare concern on U.S. Highway 183 South at 9:09 a.m.
  • The Sheriff and a deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in the 200 block of West Walker Street at 9:32 a.m.
  • Medics responded to a request for an ambulance in the 1300 block of East Wheeler Street at 10:27 a.m.
  • The Breckenridge Fire Department and a deputy were on the scene of a vehicle fire on FM 2231 at 11:13 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 500 block of North Rose Avenue at 12:52 p.m.
  • A sergeant was out in the 500 block of East Walker Street in reference to a report of suspicious activity at 1:55 p.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer assisted in a report of deer corn in the roadway of the 500 block of West Walker Street at 2:28 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to a report of gunshots across the lake on CR 305 at 2:50 p.m.
  • A deputy provided a civil standby in reference to a property dispute in the 9500 block of CR 204 at 3:07 p.m.
  • A sergeant made an arrest near the 1800 block of West Elliott Street at 3:23 p.m.
  • An officer spoke with a subject in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center in reference to assault at 5:23 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to a report of a black cow and a calf in the roadway in the 6400 block of U.S. Highway 180 East at 5:30 p.m.
  • An officer was out in the 100 block of East Williams Street in reference to a welfare check at 7:04 p.m.
  • Officers and a deputy responded to a report of a disturbance near the 600 block of East Walker Street at 7:04 p.m.
  • Medics and an officer responded to a request near the 200 block of North Miller Avenue at 7:59 p.m.
  • Officers responded to a disturbance near the 1300 block of East Walker Street at 9:25 p.m.
  • A resident reported harassment via phone to the Law Enforcement Center at 9:34 p.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of suspicious behavior near the 900 block of East Walker Street at 9:44 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to a traffic hazard near the west end of the Mile Long Bridge at 9:50 p.m.
  • Medics responded to the 6900 block of CR 292 at 10:33 p.m.
  • At 11:03 p.m., the Firefighter Captain responded to a structure fire near the 8600 block of CR 300.
Tuesday, August 4
  • Medics responded to a request in the 8900 block of CR 299 at 12:45 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity near the 600 block of East Dyer Street at 1:26 a.m.
  • Officers were out near the 400 block of North Court Street in reference to a report of suspicious activity at 1:40 a.m.
  • Medics responded to the 200 block of East Dyer Street at 1:44 a.m.
  • Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity near the 300 block of North Breckenridge Avenue at 4:27 a.m.
  • A deputy responded to a call about a loose calf on FM 207 at 7:15 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of a raccoon in the 400 block of Shelton Street at 8:44 a.m.
  • A deputy responded to a report of a loose cow in the 6000 block of U.S. Highway 180 East at 8:44 a.m.
  • An officer was notified of a dead skunk in a trap in the 100 block of Medina Court at 9:38 a.m.
  • A deputy responded to a report of harassment in the 2000 block of CR 335 at 10:37 a.m.
  • The Sheriff was out on U.S. Highway 180 East after a vehicle hit a wild hog at 10:45 a.m.
  • The BFD and Howard County VFD responded to a grass fire on FM 2231 just off of U.S. Highway 180 at 10:50 a.m.
  • Medics responded to the 500 block of West Fifth Street at 1:04 p.m.; one subject was transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital.
  • A deputy provided a civil standby in reference to civil paperwork in the 400 block of West Fourth Street at 1:17 p.m.
  • A deputy was out in the 1800 block of West Elliott Street at 1:46 p.m.
  • The BFD, medics, and a deputy responded to a report of an accident on U.S. Highway 183 South at 1:52 p.m.
  • The Fire Captain, a deputy, a sergeant, and an officer responded to a report of a power line down in the 1300 block of East Walker Street at 4:16 p.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer responded to an alarm activation in the 200 block of North Rose Avenue at 5:45 p.m.
  • Officers responded to a report of a possible theft near the 500 block of North Butte Street at 7:11 p.m.
  • Officers responded to a theft near the intersection of North Harvey Street and West Dyer Street at 7:34 p.m.
  • Medics responded to a request in the 600 block of West Lindsey Street at 7:52 p.m.
  • Medics and a deputy responded to a request near the 6400 block of CR 274 at 8:17 p.m.; the call was canceled before arrival.
  • An officer responded to a report of possible drug paraphernalia found near the 1100 block of West Elliott Street at 8:41 p.m.

  • The Sheriff assisted a stranded motorist on Highway 67 North near FM 701 at 8:16 a.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer responded to a report of loose dogs on the Courthouse lawn at 8:52 a.m.
  • The Chief Deputy responded to a report of loose cows in the 4100 Block of FM 1800 at 8:54 a.m.

  • Officers at the BPD received a report of a possible city code violation in the 300 block of West Third Street at 9:35 a.m.

  • At 9:14 p.m., an officer received a request near the 700 block of West Hullum Street in reference to suspicious activity.
Thursday, August 6
  • An officer received a request for motorist assistance via phone at the Law Enforcement Center at 12:42 a.m.
  • A deputy and two officers responded to a disturbance near the 900 block of South Cutting Avenue at 2:57 a.m.
  • The Chief Deputy responded to a report of a loose cow on FM 1852 at 8:19 a.m.
  • The Constable advised of a writ of possession in the 1500 block of West Walker Street at 8:59 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a report from the Breckenridge American of a found item in the 100 block of East Elm Street; an officer returned the item to its owner at 9:47 a.m.
  • The Police Chief, a sergeant, and an officer stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Industrial Boulevard and arrested a subject on two felony warrants at 11:02 a.m.
  • The Chief Deputy responded to a report of a black bull in the roadway near the area of FM 576 West and FM 3418 at 11:09 a.m.; its owner was not located and the animal was put in a subject’s pasture with permission.
  • An officer assisted a stranded vehicle near the intersection of Walker Street and Court Street at 1:38 p.m.
  • The Fire Chief tagged an RV for a violation of a city ordinance prohibiting living inside of an RV inside city limits at 1:47 p.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of an animal carcass in the roadway of the 1300 block of East Elm Street at 2:50 p.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer performed a welfare check in the 500 block of East Walker Street at 4:02 p.m.
  • THe Stephens County Sheriff’s Office assisted Shackelford County in a vehicle chase at 4:44 p.m.; the call was cancelled prior to arrival when the vehicle was stopped in Shackelford County.
  • The Sheriff, the Chief Deputy, and a sergeant responded to a report of a reckless driver in the 100 block of South Smith Street at 4:58 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to a loose cow on FM 207 at 5:44 p.m.
  • The Chief Deputy responded to a report of a loose cow on Highway 67 at 5:52 p.m.
  • The BFD assisted Cisco and Eastland County fire units with three grass fires on U.S. Highway 183 South at the Eastland County line at 5:59 p.m.
  • Officers assisted in a report of a hit-and-run near the 1000 block of West Fourth Street at 7:26 p.m.
  • An officer advised he would be out near the intersection of West Third Street and Douglas Avenue in reference to a report of suspicious activity at 7:28 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to a report of an unoccupied vehicle near the intersection of U.S. Highway 180 West and FM 2231 at 8:03 p.m.
  • Officers provided a civil standby near the 1400 block of East Walker Street at 8:16 p.m.
  • Medics responded to a request near the 2400 block of CR 215 at 8:40 p.m.
  • A deputy provided a civil standby near the 3700 block of U.S. Highway 180 East at 8:58 p.m.
  • Officers at the BPD responded to a request for close patrol of a residence near the 500 block of North Rose Avenue at 9:00 p.m.
  • Officers were out near the 600 block of North Rose Avenue in reference to a civil matter at 9:04 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to a welfare concern near the 800 block of CR 262 at 9:41 p.m.
  • A deputy made a warrant arrest near the 1800 block of West Walker Street at 10:27 p.m.

Arrest Report – Week of August 3
  • An 18-year old male was arrested on Aug. 3 on a Stephens County Warrant for Burglary of a Building.
  • On Aug. 3, a 36-year-old male was arrested on a Stephens County Warrant for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
  • A 20-year-old male was arrested on Aug. 3 on a Stephens County Warrant for Assault, with bond to be set.
  • On Aug. 6, a 28-year-old female was arrested on Stephens County Warrants for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon and Theft of a Firearm; she was transported to Stephens County Jail without incident.
  • A 23-year-old woman was arrested on Aug. 8 on a Taylor County Warrant for Possession of Meth with Intent to Deliver.
