City rescinds one of the recent boil water notices

The City of Breckenridge has rescinded the boil water notice issued on Jan. 14 for water customers in the following areas:

  • The south side of West Walker Street from South Rose to South Douglas streets
  • South Cutting Avenue, West Cottage Street, West Power Street, East Parrish Street, East Valley Drive and East Aberdeen Street.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to current interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption. The necessary corrective actions was taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality, and the City has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.
