Effective Saturday, May 16, 2026, the City of Breckenridge has rescinded the boil water notice that was issued on Wednesday, May 13, for the southeastern quadrant of Breckenridge due to a damaged water line.

After initial repairs were made to a water line break in southeast Breckenridge on Wednesday night, May 13, the City of Breckenridge has turned off water to the area again today, Thursday, May 14, to repair a leak in an old pipe adjacent to the one that was hit by a fiber-optics company.
Breckenridge City Manager Cynthia Northrop said in a phone call with the Breckenridge Texan this afternoon, May 13, that city crews have isolated the leak and stopped the flow of water from the broken water line at the intersection of South Jackson Street and East Hullum.
