In the upcoming election, voters who live in Stephens County, but outside the Breckenridge city limits, will have a chance to vote on a new sales tax for the county.
Last month, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced that, since he signed an update of the state’s election laws in 2021, the state has removed about one million people from the voter rolls, a process which is ongoing.
