Stephens Regional Special Utility District lifts Boil Water Notice issued on July 7

The Stephens Regional Special Utility District has rescinded the Boil Water Notice that was issued on Tuesday, July 7, 2025.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Stephens Regional Special Utility District public water system, PWS 2150007, to issue a Boil Water Notice for all customers of the rural water district. Due to a water main break resulting in a loss of pressure, the water from the public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
According to a notice received Thursday, July 10, from Stephens Regional SUD, they have taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by the public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and have provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use.
