Every year, the biggest event hosted by the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce is Frontier Days, held in the City Park on May 2-3. From the chuckwagon cook-off and the wild west shoot-outs to the beauty pageant and the talent competition, there is something for everyone.

This year, Frontier Days also included a rock-climbing wall, a mechanical bull, other kids activities, a sand volleyball tournament, and a disc golf tournament, as well as a variety of vendors.

The Bake-Off was organized by InterBank employees Lacey Arquitte, Karen Eaton and Maritza Fambro, who is also the Chamber President. Judging the competition were Jared McLane, Mike Parrack and Jason Castillo.

There were nine entries in the bake-off — six cakes, two pies and a fried pie entry. The winners were Karen Eaton, first place; Maria Escamilla, second place; and Desiree Stanley, third place.

Throughout the two-day event, the Breckenridge Texan was out and about taking lots of photos. Breckenridge High School student Kodee Crawford joined us at Frontier Days, taking photos on Saturday; see her photo gallery below.

Additionally, May 2-4, the Stephens County Ranch Rodeo was going on at the rodeo arena east of town. Brant Thurmond was out there taking photos of that on Friday night.
