The annual VFW Memorial Day Ceremony will take place on the Stephens County Courthouse lawn, 200 W. Walker St., at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27.
The VFW Post 7767 and its auxiliary host the event each Memorial Day to honor the deceased veterans from the community. The names of the veterans who died in the past year have been added to the memorial and will be read aloud during the ceremony.
Additionally, the VFW Auxiliary will be cooking and selling food as a fundraiser. They will have half chicken for $10 and sausage on a stick for $3.
