The City of Breckenridge and Stephens County are partnering to pick up brush inside the corporate limits of Breckenridge the week of Oct. 23. The cooperative effort between the two government entities is offered as a service to the residents of Breckenridge for the disposal of their tree trimmings.

Citizens must have brush that they would like to be hauled off at curbside by Friday, Oct. 20. Any brush put at the curbside after Oct. 20, will not be removed.

No brush larger than 8 inches in diameter will be picked up. Brush must be cut in lengths no longer than 6 feet long, and the butt ends must be placed toward the street or curb.

It will not be necessary to contact either the City of Breckenridge or Stephens County to receive the service, as the trucks will run the entire city during this week, covering separate sections of the City each day.

The service will be provided by the City of Breckenridge and Stephens County at no charge to the residents, as has been done on a semiannual basis for several years.

For more information about the disposal, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287.
