Breckenridge firefighters battle house fire on East Lindsey

The Breckenridge Fire Department and other emergency responders are on the scene of a house fire in the 1400 block of East Lindsey Street tonight, Aug. 19.
According to officials, the emergency call was received at about 9:30 p.m. The fire department and the police department, along with Sacred Cross EMS and the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire.
The house was fully engulfed in flames, but the firefighters made entrance into the house to ensure that no one was inside. There were no injuries reported. The residents were not home at the time of the fire and have been contacted, police on the scene said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
