Breckenridge and Stephens County will have two community fireworks shows for the upcoming Independence Day celebration. The annual Boomfest Community Fireworks Show will kick off the holiday on Saturday, July 1, and the Salute in the Salt Flats Fireworks Show will be on July 4.

Boomfest Community Fireworks Show

The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce, Stowe’s Independent Services and Clear Fork Bank, along with a variety of additional sponsors, will host the Boomfest Community Fireworks Show Saturday, July 1, near the swimming area in the Corley’s Landing/Ramp (aka Game Warden’s Ramp) area off of CR 277 at Hubbard Creek Lake.

There will be food and beverage vendors set up in the area for those attending the event. The vendors are scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m., and the fireworks display should begin about 9 p.m.

Food vendors currently scheduled for the event:

  • Connies Louisiana Kitchen
  • Rose Ave. Baptist Church selling hamburgers for youth camp
  • El Patio De Luna
  • United Supermarket

This year’s Breckenridge Idol winner Anthony Kelly will sing the national anthem.

Additionally, the Chamber of Commerce will have a booth with free glow sticks, temporary tattoos, light-up toys and more.

SALUTE IN THE SALT FLATS FIREWORKS SHOW

The seventh annual Salute in the Salt Flats Fireworks Show is being provided by the Rail A Ranch, Canyon Road Barn and Grill, and a lot of donors, on Tuesday, July 4. The show will be a benefit fundraiser for local Volunteer Fire Departments. The VFDs will be on scene to support the Rail A in their efforts. The show will be in the vicinity of Canyon Road, located at 5790 FM 3418, south of Breckenridge.

Canyon Road will open at 5 p.m. with a full menu, and the fireworks show is expected to start around 9:30 p.m. The Davis Brothers Band will provide outdoor entertainment.

The fireworks show will be free for anyone to attend and watch. Donations to benefit the VFDs will be collected during the show. The donations will be donated to the Caddo VFD, Wayland VFD, Hubbard Creek VFD and Woodson VFD.

Handicapped-accessible parking will be available at the Rail A Ranch’s Old Ranch House, located north of the Canyon Road restaurant on FM 3418.
