The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center is currently accepting entries for its 31st annual juried art show, which is scheduled for July 23- Sept. 10.

This year’s juror will be Doylene Land, a Breckenridge artist whose work has been on exhibit at the BFAC in the past. The show features five awards worth a total of more than $5,000.

The competition is open to artists age 21 and older. Eligible entries include original 2- and 3-dimensional art in oil, watercolor, scratchboard, acrylic, gouache, alkyd, tempera, mixed media, pastel, pencil, pen and ink, aquatint, fiber, bronze, wood, glass and ceramic. No photography, prints, or computer-generated artwork will be accepted. Entries must not have been exhibited at the BFAC Juried Show in the past and cannot be older than 3 years, except for bronze sculptures. Click here to read all of the rules of the competition.

To enter, artists must fill out an online form and submit it, with an image of the entry and the $25 fee. Land will then choose the art that will appear in the show. Click here for the entry form.

All entries must be submitted to the BFAC by 11:59 p.m. Monday, May 30. Those accepted for the show will be notified by June 21.

For more information, visit the website www.breckenridgefineart.org or call BFAC Director Shalon Wilson at 254-559-6602. The BFAC is located at 207 N. Breckenridge Ave. and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
