City rescinds recent Boil Water Notice
February 02
12:10 2022

Effective Wednesday, Feb. 2, the City of Breckenridge has rescinded a city-wide boil water notice that was issued on Monday due to turbidity at the water plant.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to the problem, water from the system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.

The City took the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559-7249.
