Roger Williams, the U.S. Representative for Texas’ District 25, held a meet-and-greet in Breckenridge on Monday, Nov. 8, at Texas State Technical College’s Technology Center.

Williams visited Breckenridge because recent redistricting by the state legislators reconfigured the district boundaries, and Stephens County will be in the redrawn District 25 for the next Congress, which will begin in January 2023. Stephens County will continue to be represented by U.S. Reps. August Pfluger (District 11) and Jodey Arrington (District 19) through the end of 2022. However, beginning with the upcoming election cycle, candidates will be running for office in the new districts.

Williams has announced that he intends to seek reelection, and he will be considered the incumbent in District 25, including Stephens County.
