Monday, Aug. 17
  • Breckenridge Police Department officers investigated a disturbance in the 800 block of Industrial Loop at 2:10 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of an open door in the 3400 block of West Walker Street at 2:24 a.m.
  • A Stephens County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of County Road 256 at 5:15 a.m.
  • The City of Breckenridge street department cleaned up debris in the street in the area of Dairy and Lindsey streets at 7 a.m.
  • Dogs were reported loose on Liveoak Street at 8:42 a.m.
  • A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in the 600 block of County Road 310 at 9:17 a.m.
  • The BPD Captain responded at 10 a.m. to a report of a burglary of a habitation in the 500 block of West Williams Street.
  • At 10:16 a.m., an officer responded to a criminal trespassing report in the 400 block of West Seventh Street.
  • A deputy investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle on U.S. Highway 180 West at 10:17 a.m.
  • The Stephens County Sheriff responded to FM 3201 at 11:07 a.m. for a report of loose livestock.
  • An officer investigated a report of a theft on Rose Street at 11:14 a.m.
  • The Breckenridge Fire Department responded to a grassfire on Park Road 33 at 12:34 p.m.
  • The BPD Captain conducted a welfare check on a driver in the 700 block of West Walker at 1:09 p.m.; medics were requested.
  • The BFD investigated a gas odor at Stephens Memorial Hospital at 1:45 p.m.
  • The BPD Captain and an officer responded to the 1200 block of West Walker Street in reference to a criminal trespass warning at 2:23 p.m.
  • A deputy made an arrest on County Road 333 at 3:55 p.m.
  • The BPD Captain and an officer provided a civil standby in the 1800 block of West Elliott Street at 4:02 p.m.
  • American Medical Response medics responded to the 300 block of South Jackson Street at 4:13 p.m.
  • The BFD responded to North Smith Street in reference to a line down at 4:13 p.m.
  • The BFD, Hubbard Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Wayland Volunteer Fire Department fought a grassfire on Yellowfork Road at 5:35 p.m.
  • The Breckenridge Police Chief reported to the 2300 block of West Walker Street at 4:38 p.m. in reference to a report of a woman sitting in the parking lot.
  • A BFD officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of East Third Street at 7:46 p.m.
  • A BPD sergeant, an officer and two deputies responded to the 900 block of South Cutting Street at 8:06 p.m. in reference to reports of a disturbance in progress.
  • BFD units responded to a report of smoke in the 200 block of North Douglas at 10:31 p.m.
  • A  BPD sergeant responded to the 500 block of West Lindsey Street in reference to loud music at midnight.
Tuesday, Aug. 18
  • An officer investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 1200 block of West Third Street at 4:08 a.m.
  • A  sergeant, an office and medics responded to the 100 block of Shirley Court in reference to a request at 4:35 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of a possible phone scam at 5:21 a.m.
  • A sergeant conducted a welfare check in the 200 block of South Geneva Street at 7:25 a.m.
  • A deputy reported to County Road 173 at 8:55 a.m. in reference to a loose cow.
  • The BPD provided a funeral escort at 10:55 a.m.
  • A sergeant responded to the 1200 block of West Walker Street at 9:46 a.m. in reference to a criminal trespass.
  • The Police Chief and Captain investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 500 block of West Fifth Street at 1:13 p.m.
  • A sergeant responded to a report of a loose dog in the 100 block of East Walker Street at 5:17 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to State Highway 67 North at 5:44 p.m. for a report of cows out.
  • A deputy made a traffic stop at 6:27 p.m. on Highway 67.
  • The water department responded to FM 1800 for a water leak at 6:36 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to a report of a loose cow near the area of U.S. Highway 180 and FM 2231 at 7:19 p.m.
  • The Sheriff responded to a report of loose cows near Park Road 33 at 8:17 p.m.
  • An officer and a sergeant responded to a report of possible shots fired in the 700 block of East Williams Street at 9:23 p.m.
  • The Sheriff made a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Easton at 9:56 p.m.; an officer assisted.
  • The Sheriff responded to a report of cattle in the roadway on FM 207 at 10:05 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 19
  • The Sheriff was out with subjects on FM 3201 at 12:30 a.m.
  • The Sheriff made a traffic stop on North Breckenridge Avenue at 1:21 a.m.
  • An officer and a sergeant investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 1000 block of South Smith Street at 1:39 a.m.
  • An officer investigated a report of a possible prowler in the 1200 block of West Lindsey at 3:26 a.m.
  • A sergeant spoke with a subject at 7:46 a.m. about crossing the street in the 1000 block of West Walker Street.
  • The Police Chief and an officer arrested a subject at West Walker Street and Shelton Avenue at 8:17 a.m.
  • A sergeant moved debris from the roadway at the intersection of Walker and Jackson streets at 8:41 a.m.
  • The Sheriff made an arrest in the Law Enforcement Center lobby at 11 a.m.
  • Two officers and the Police Chief responded to a report of a dog running loose around Breckenridge Junior High School at 12:35 p .m.
  • An officer responded to the 200 block of North Miller Street at 1:11 p.m. in reference to reckless drivers.
  • An officer responded to the 400 block of East Walker Street at 1:18 p.m. in reference to two loose dogs.
  • At 2:26 p.m., an officer investigated a report of a suspicious man walking in the 1300 block of Cypress Street and knocking on doors.
  • An officer spoke with a subject at the LEC at 2:29 p.m. in reference to a civil matter.
  • An officer responded to the 600 block of West Lindsey Street at 3:45 p.m. in reference to dogs running loose.
  • Two officers responded to a report of a dog bite at Harvey and First streets at 4:16 p.m.
  • A deputy investigated a report of harassment on FM 207 at 4:29 p.m.
  • At 4:52 p.m., two BPD officers were flagged down in the 700 block of North Pecan Street in reference to lost children after school. Firefighters, the Chief Deputy and a State Trooper assisted in the search for the children.
  • An officer followed up with a dog-bite victim at Stephens Memorial Hospital at 5:29 p.m.
  • A deputy talked to a subject on the phone about credit card abuse at 6:16 p.m.
  • The sheriff arrested a subject on a warrant at 6:55 p.m. at Peelers Pier.
  • A sergeant and an officer conducted a welfare check in the area of Elliott and Sunset streets at 7:12 p.m.
  • A sergeant, an office and a deputy investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 600 block of South Liveoak at 8:24 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to the 2300 block of U.S. Highway 180 East at 9:25 p.m. in reference to a welfare concern.
  • An officer responded to a report of barking dogs in a vehicle in the 1200 block of West Walker Street at 9:56 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 20
  • A sergeant investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 600 block of West Lindsey Street at 2:42 a.m.
  • An officer reported to the 400 block of South Shelton at 7:15 a.m. in reference to a trapped raccoon.
  • The Chief Deputy, the BFD and two AMR units responded to the 600 block of FM 3201 to set up a landing zone for Air Evac at 7:22 a.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer responded to the 1200 block of West Fifth Street in reference to suspicious activity at 12:04 p.m.
  • At 1 p.m. an officer checked on dogs in the 100 block of West Hullum Street that were reported without food or water.
  • The Fire Chief dispatched firefighters from BFC and Hubbard Creek VFD to FM 3253 to fight a grassfire at 1:04 p.m.
  • A sergeant investigated a report of an assault in the 100 block of County Road 253 at 1:27 p.m.
  • An ambulance responded to the 1600 block of East Elliott Street at 1:58 p.m. and transported one person to the hospital.
  • An officer responded to the 1900 block of West Walker Street at 2:04 p.m. in reference to a theft.
  • The BPD Captain reported to Breckenridge High School at 3:50 p.m. in reference to damage discovered on a vehicle.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in reference to a person walking in the 3800 block of U.S. Highway 180 East at 3:55 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to the State Highway 67 North in reference to a cow on the highway at 5 p.m.
  • A deputy reported an abandoned vehicle off of State Highway 67 and FM 717 at 5:10 p.m.; the vehicle was tagged for removal.
  • The BPD Captain and an officer conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of West Elliott Street at 6:35 p.m.
  • An officer responded to the 500 block of East Cottage Street in reference to a reckless driver at 8:09 p.m.
  • An officer responded to the 2900 block of West Walker Street in reference to a traffic hazard at 9:23 p.m.
  • Two BPD officers and a deputy responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 1500 block of West Elm Street at 10:51 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 21
  • A deputy made a warrant arrest at the LEC at 2:20 a.m.
  • An ambulance responded to the 3700 block of Cactus Cove at 7:29 .m.
  • A sergeant responded to a report of a subject loitering in the 100 block of West Elliott Street at 11:25 a.m.
  • A deputy investigated illegal dumping on County Road 229 at 10:26 a.m.
  • The BPD Captain responded to a report of vehicle damage in the parking lot at the city office, 100 block of North Rose Avenue, at 12:24 p.m.
  • The Sheriff and a deputy responded to a report of a theft in progress on FM 578 at 12:53 p.m.
  • The BFD, Hubbard Creek VFD, Caddo VFD and Eliasville VFD responded to a grassfire on FM 1148 at 1:35 p.m.
  • The Texas Department of Transportation was notified of round hay bales in the road on FM 1148 at 2:10 p.m.
  • The BPD Captain responded to a request for an officer at the high school at 3:19 p.m.
  • A sergeant responded to a report of suspicious activity in the Westwood/Ridgeway Circle area at 4:45 p.m.
  • An ambulance responded to the 600 block of West Walker Street at 6:04 p.m.
  • A deputy and an ambulance responded to FM 576 East at 6:06 p.m.

  • Two officers and a deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1300 block of East Walker Street at 12:03 a.m.
  • A deputy responded to loose livestock on U.S. Highway 183 North at 6:53 a.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer issued a criminal trespass notice in the 400 block of South Breckenridge Avenue at 9:21 a.m.
  • A sergeant responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of North Albany Street at 11:56 a.m.
  • Animal Control responded to loose dogs in the 100 block of East Walker Street at 12:44 p.m.
  • The BFD and SCSO responded to a grassfire on Highway 180 near FM 207 at 3:25 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to loose livestock on Park Road 33 at 4:56 p.m.
  • An officer and a sergeant responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 200 block of West Second Street at 5:35 p.m.

  • A sergeant and an officer responded to a crime tip received via phone at 8:29 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to loose livestock on U.S. Highway 180 East at 8:30 p.m.
  • An officer advised that he was out in the 200 block of North Breckenridge Avenue at 9:16 p.m. in reference to suspicious activity. A sergeant also responded.
  • An officer, a sergeant and a deputy responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 500 block of West Fourth Street at 9:49 p.m.
  • An officer and a sergeant responded to a loose animal in the 100 block of East Seventh Street at 11:48 p.m.
Arrest Report for week of August 17-23
  • A 33-year-old man was arrested on Aug. 17  on charges of Criminal Mischief over $750 and under $2,500, Criminal Trespass, possession of marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 over 1 gram and under 4 grams.
  • A 44-year-old woman was arrested on Aug. 19 for Disorderly Conduct: Abusive Language in a Public Place. She was arrested again on Aug. 23 for Criminal Trespass.
  • A 27-year-old man was arrested on Aug. 21 on a Stephens County Warrant for stalking.
  • A 36-year-old man was arrested on Aug. 23 a warrant for parole violation.
