  • The Stephens County Chief Deputy responded to a report of several loose cows in the 5200 block of CR 179 at 8:44 a.m.
  • AMR medics responded to a medical alarm activation in the 1300 block of West Sixth Street at 8:53 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a request in the 200 block of South Geneva Street at 9:12 a.m.
  • An officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of West Dyer Street in reference to an animal in a trap at 9:44 a.m.
  • An officer contacted a subject who had lost property on the corner of Elliott Street and Shelton Street at 10:10 a.m.
  • A resident requested an officer in reference to a welfare concern in Eagle Pass at 11:41 a.m.; welfare check information was passed on to the Eagle Pass Police Department.
  • A deputy responded to a report of two loose horses in the 11000 block of CR 137 at 12:00 p.m.
  • The Breckenridge Fire Department responded to a grass fire on FM 3099 North at 12:09 p.m.
  • An officer spoke with a subject about a report of criminal mischief at Lake Daniels at 1:09 p.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of an intoxicated person near the corner of West Jeanette Street and Dairy Street at 1:11 p.m.
  • A deputy provided a civil standby in the 500 block of Ridgeway Circle at 1:21 p.m.
  • A deputy provided a civil standby in the 1200 block of East Lindsey Street at 2:19 p.m.
  • An officer responded to a runaway subject in the 1000 block of South Smith Street at 2:40 p.m.

  • The BFD, Hubbard Creek VFD, and Wayland VFD responded to a grass fire on FM 207 at 8:50 a.m.
  • The BFD and Hubbard Creek VFD followed up about a grass fire from last night on FM 717 at 9:34 a.m.
  • The Stephens County Sheriff responded to a report of cows out on FM 1852 one mile into Stephens County at 9:51 a.m.
  • An officer assisted in a report of a loose animal in the 100 block of North Smith Street at 11:09 a.m.
  • An officer spoke with the Lubbock PD in reference to a missing person in Lubbock at 1:58 p.m.

  • An officer responded to a report of a theft on Little League Road at 7:38 a.m.
  • The BFD responded to a report of a gaseous odor in the 800 block of West Walker Street at 7:46 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 100 block of North Parks Street at 8:31 a.m.
  • Emergency Medical Services, the Captain, an officer, and the Justice of the Peace responded to a request for an ambulance in the 800 block of West Walker Street at 8:37 a.m.
  • The Chief Deputy responded to a report of a stolen firearm on CR 300 at 9:24 a.m.

  • The Captain and an officer responded to a report of a reckless driver headed east on U.S. Highway 180 West at 5:34 p.m.
  • An officer did a welfare check on a vehicle parked in the McDonald’s parking lot at 7:16 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to a report of loose cows on Highway 67 North at 7:45 p.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer responded to a report of a suspicious person in the roadway of the 200 block of North Butte Street at 9:06 p.m.

Arrest Report – Week of August 10
  • A 55-year-old male was arrested on August 10 for Public Intoxication.
  • On August 11, a 28-year-old woman was arrested on Stephens County Warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1, Less than One Gram) and Obstruction or Retaliation. She was transported to Stephens County Jail without incident.
  • A 31-year-old male was arrested on August 12 on a Stephens County Warrant for Possession of Marijuana (Less than Two Ounces).
  • On August 13, a 45-year-old male was arrested on a Stephens County Warrant for a motion to adjudicate an original charge (Organized Criminal Activity) and on sight for Criminal Trespass of a Habitation. Bond was set at $10,000.
  • A 26-year-old male was arrested on August 16 on Stephens County Warrants for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, Expired License Plates, Possession of Marijuana (Less than Two Ounces), and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group One, Less than One Gram).
