  • A Stephens County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to the 1700 block of FM 287 at 8:42 a.m. in reference to a disturbance.
  • Officers received a report of an aggressive dog in the 800 block of West Hullum Street at 9:09 a.m.
  • A sergeant performed a warrant arrest at the Law Enforcement Center at 9:40 a.m.
  • A subject walked into the Law Enforcement Center reporting an assault at 9:50 a.m.

  • An Animal Control Officer advised officers at the Law Enforcement Center they would be in the 600 block of North Dubois Street in reference to an animal at 5:04 a.m.
  • The Breckenridge Fire Department responded to a grass fire near the Rancho Verde area at 7:27 a.m.
  • A sergeant spoke to a subject in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center in reference to a harassment report at 7:54 a.m.
  • A deputy checked on a driver in the rest area on U.S. Highway 183 South at 8:16 a.m.
  • A sergeant responded to a report of a disturbance in the 200 block of South Geneva Street at 8:16 a.m.
  • A sergeant provided a civil standby in the 2800 block of West Walker Street at 12:11 p.m.
  • Medics were requested in the 400 block of North Rose Avenue at 12:14 p.m.
  • A deputy arrested a subject in the 1000 block of North Breckenridge Avenue at 1:34 p.m.

  • A deputy responded to a welfare concern near the 800 block of CR 262 at 7:28 p.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of found property near the 500 block of South Flint Street at 7:58 p.m.
  • Officers at the Law Enforcement Center received a request for close patrol at a business in the 3700 block of West Walker Street at 8:40 p.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity near the 1300 block of East Walker Street at 9:08 p.m.
  • Officers at the Law Enforcement Center received a request for close patrol near the 4000 block of CR 201 at 9:08 p.m.
  • An officer provided a civil standby near the 500 block of West Wheeler Street at 9:29 p.m.
  • At 11:10 p.m., officers made a traffic stop near the 1200 block of West Walker Street.

  • The Chief Deputy responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle near the 3800 block of U.S. Highway 180 West at 7:15 a.m.
  • An officer responded to the report of an animal carcass in the roadway of the 200 block of North Parks Street at 8:24 a.m.
  • Officers responded to the report of a cat bite in the 200 block of South Geneva Street at 8:47 a.m.
  • An officer responded to the report of an animal carcass in the roadway of the 1300 block of West Walker Street at 9:14 a.m.
  • The Chief Deputy was out with a loose calf on FM 207 just off of U.S. Highway 180 at 9:32 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of a disturbance in the 600 block of South Breckenridge Avenue at 11:47 a.m.
  • Medics were requested in the 800 block of North Smith Street at 12:39 p.m.
  • An officer was dispatched to the intersection of FM 287 and CR 176 in reference to a traffic hazard at 1:11 p.m.
  • The Police Chief responded to an officer’s report of a suspicious subject near CR 176 at 2:40 p.m.
  • The Sheriff made an arrest on a traffic stop in the 300 block of West Williams Street at 3:13 p.m.
  • The Hubbard Creek VFD assisted the BFD in a grass fire on U.S. Highway 180 West at 3:56 p.m.
  • The Sheriff responded to a report of three loose calves on U.S. Highway 183 South near CR 112 at 3:57 p.m.
  • A deputy assisted a motorist and issued a criminal mischief report outside of Corley’s at 4:15 p.m.
  • The BFD and Hubbard Creek VFD assisted Shackelford County with a grass fire at FM 601 and FM 576 at 4:32 p.m.
  • The Fire Chief advised the BFD would be out near the 800 block of East Elliott Street in reference to a possible illegal burning at 7:25 p.m.
  • An officer encountered loose animals near the 200 block of East Elm Street at 7:45 p.m.
  • The Sheriff and a deputy responded to a disturbance report near the 1600 block of CR 205 at 8:46 p.m.
  • Fire units responded to a grass fire near CR 187 at 10:30 p.m.
  • Officers responded to a disturbance report near the 3100 block of West Walker Street at 11:28 p.m.
Thursday, July 23, 2020
  • Fire units responded to a smoke alarm near the 6000 block of PR 1292 at 3:46 a.m.
  • Medics responded to the 6400 block of CR 247 at 7:28 a.m.
  • The Chief Deputy was dispatched to Yellow Fork Road in reference to loose livestock at 8:42 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 500 block of East Walker Street at 11:32 a.m.
  • An officer issued a criminal trespass warning in the 500 block of West Wheeler Street at 11:56 a.m.
  • The Chief Deputy advised the BPD of a follow-up on a welfare check on PR 247 at 1:30 p.m.
  • The Police Chief, with two officers, were dispatched to the 400 block of North Court Street for a welfare check at 3:51 p.m.
  • The Chief Deputy responded to a report of loose livestock on Highway 67 at 4:54 p.m.

Arrest Report – Week of July 20, 2020
  • A 54-year-old male was arrested on July 20 on a local Stephens County Warrant.
  • A 21-year-old male was arrested on July 25 on local Stephens County Warrants for Unlawful Carry of a Weapon and Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport.
  • On July 25, a 47-year-old male was arrested on a local Stephens County Warrant for a Terroristic Threat Causing Fear of Imminent SBI; his bond is to be set.
  • On July 25, a 38-year-old female was arrested on a local Stephens County Warrant for a Terroristic Threat.
