  • A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at U.S. Highway 180 West and CR 221 at 7:34 a.m.
  • A deputy was notified of loose livestock at Highway 67 at 8:32 a.m.
  • Animal Control responded to a pig and goats running loose in the 300 block of South Jackson Street at 9:59 a.m.
  • The Breckenridge Police Department and Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of theft in the 3100 block of West Walker Street at 10:38 a.m.
  • Animal Control was notified of a skunk with its head stuck in the drain on a dumpster in the 1300 block of FM 287 at 10:46 a.m.
  • The Chief Deputy provided a civil standby in the 100 block of U.S. Highway 183 South at 10:56 a.m.
  • A sergeant spoke with a subject about a report of criminal mischief in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center at 11:35 a.m.
  • The Chief Deputy advised he was “red-tagging” an abandoned vehicle on U.S. Highway 183 South at 11:35 a.m.
  • A subject walked into the Law Enforcement Center to speak with an officer regarding a civil matter at 1:00 p.m.
  • A sergeant responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 300 block of North Breckenridge Avenue at 1:00 p.m.
  • An officer responded to a call from the Law Enforcement Center regarding a report of credit card abuse at 1:35 p.m.
  • A deputy advised they would be providing a civil standby in the 14100 block of CR 168 at 2:32 p.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer responded to the 700 block of West Lindsey Street at 2:53 p.m.
  • First responders attended to a two-vehicle accident in the 1100 block of North Breckenridge Avenue at 3:38 p.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 800 block of Industrial Loop at 3:51 p.m.
  • Emergency Medical Services responded to a request for an ambulance in the 300 block of West Third Street at 6:32 p.m.
  • The BPD responded to the 300 block of South Flint Street at 6:55 p.m.
  • A resident reported a disturbance in the 1300 block of East Hullum Street at 7:07 p.m.
  • The Game Warden, Fire Units, Emergency Medical Services and a deputy responded to a welfare concern near the boat ramp at the west end of the Mile Long Bridge at 7:36 p.m.
  • The Sheriff advised he would be conducting a warrant arrest near the 800 block of CR 262 at 7:45 p.m.
  • An officer who had previously responded to an accident received a request to speak with a subject involved in the accident at the Law Enforcement Center at 8:00 p.m.
  • A resident reported a strong smell of gas near the area of South Chaparral Lane at 8:25 p.m.

  • An officer responded to a report of harassment in the 800 block of Industrial Loop at 12:40 a.m.
  • A resident reported a disturbance in the 600 block of North Pecan Street at 1:09 a.m.
  • Fire units responded to a report of a transformer fire in the 1200 block of East Wheeler Street at 3:01 a.m.
  • An officer responded to a business alarm in the 3700 block of West Walker Street at 3:22 a.m.
  • Firefighters were notified of power lines down in the 2400 block of U.S. Highway 183 South at 9:11 a.m.
  • A deputy responded to the 6500 block of CR 219 at 9:51 a.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer responded to a report of an open door in the 900 block of West Dyer Street at 11:03 a.m.
  • The Police Chief reported illegal burning within the city limits in the 500 block of North Court Street at 1:19 p.m.
  • AMR responded to a request for lift assistance in the 1200 block of West Second Street at 2:54 p.m.
  • An arrest was made at 2:55 p.m. after two sergeants and an officer responded to a call about suspicious activity in the 3200 block of West Walker Street.
  • The Police Chief and an ACO responded to children and a dog running in and out of traffic in the 800 block of West Lindsey Street at 3:12 p.m.
  • The Police Chief and an ACO responded to a call about loose goats and pigs in the 200 block of South Jackson Street at 3:22 p.m.
  • A deputy responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 700 block of East Gattis Avenue at 4:10 p.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer arrested a subject on a disturbance call in the 700 block of North Pecan Street at 5:04 p.m.
  • A deputy provided a civil standby in the 900 block of East Elm Street at 6:29 p.m.
  • An officer received a disturbance call from the 1300 block of East Hullum Street at 7:07 p.m.
  • Officers responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of South Cutting Avenue at 8:30 p.m.
  • The BPD received a report via telephone of a cat hit by a car near the 800 block of West Walker Street at 10:10 p.m.
  • At 11:13 p.m., officers responded to a residential alarm in the 2600 block of West Walker Street.
Wednesday, June 24, 2020
  • An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity near the 3700 block of Cactus Cove at 1:00 a.m.
  • An officer reported an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot of the O’Reilly Auto Parts on West Walker Street at 1:17 a.m.
  • A sergeant and an officer were dispatched to the 1000 block of West Elliott Street in reference to a welfare concern at 8:10 a.m.
  • Officers responded to a disturbance on Live Oak Street at 9:11 a.m.
  • An officer and a firefighter responded to a report of the smell of gas at the intersection of Payne and Fourth Streets at 9:19 a.m.
  • At 11:43 a.m., officers, a sergeant, the Police Chief, the Breckenridge Fire Department, and medics arrived on the scene of a one-vehicle roll-over; the vehicle was towed and medics advised no transport. Oncor Electric arrived to fix a utility pole; Texas gas arrived to fix a gas meter; and the water department arrived to fix a fire hydrant.
  • The Police Chief responded to a report of loose pigs and goats in the 300 block of South Jackson Street at 12:24 p.m.
  • A sergeant spoke with a subject in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center about a civil dispute at 12:51 p.m.
  • Officers and a sergeant responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of East
    Walker Street at 2:15 p.m.
  • Officers arrested a subject in the 1200 block of West Walker Street after a complaint of a disturbance at 2:22 p.m.
  • At the Law Enforcement Center, a sergeant spoke with a subject who wanted to report an accident that occurred on private property at 3:00 p.m.
  • The Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about horses being out in the 1800 block of East Elliott.
  • At 3:30 p.m., a deputy responded to a report of cattle out on South 207.
  • Officers conducted a welfare check in the 1000 block of South Smith Street at 6:44 p.m.
  • Medics and a deputy responded to a medical alert near the 6900 block of CR 292 at 7:06 p.m.
  • The BPD received a report of possible dumping near the area of North Smith Street at 7:22 p.m.
  • At 9:42 p.m., a resident reported a theft near the 500 block of South Rose Avenue.

  • An officer and the Police Chief responded to a report of a loose dog in the 700 block of Mistletoe Avenue at 7:51 a.m.
  • Officers, a sergeant, and the Police Chief responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of North Court Street at 8:04 a.m.
  • The Police Chief responded to a report of a loose Potbelly Pig in the 200 block of North Jackson Street at 1:00 p.m.
  • An officer responded to a reckless driver traveling eastbound near the Walmart on West Walker Street at 1:36 p.m.
  • An officer responded to the 1200 block of East Hullum Street while a sergeant spoke with a subject via telephone at 1:56 p.m.
  • An officer and a sergeant conducted a welfare check on North Rose Avenue at 2:25 p.m.
  • The Fire Chief advised of oil companies tracking a gas leak on Chaparral Lane near PR 224 at 3:39 p.m.
  • An officer responded to a report of loose goats near the area of Hullum and Jackson Streets at 3:39 p.m.; the goats were picked up.
  • Officers and firefighters responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1200 block of West Walker Street at 5:05 p.m.; no injuries were reported and no vehicles were towed.
  • Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West Walker Street in reference to a disturbance at 5:42 p.m.
  • Officers and firefighters responded to a report of an accident in the 1200 block of East Walker Street at 6:18 p.m.; two vehicles were towed and one subject was transported to the emergency room by private vehicle.
  • Officers were dispatched for close patrol near the 200 block of South Easton Street at 6:59 p.m.
  • Firefighters responded to a propane leak near the 3200 block of West Walker Street at 7:01 p.m.
  • Officers received a call about a residential alarm near the 400 block of North Easton Street at 7:14 p.m.
  • An officer and a deputy responded to a business alarm in the 2800 block of West Walker Street at 9:49 p.m.
  • Officers responded to a report of possible fireworks near the area of Graham and Walker Streets at 10:24 p.m.

  • A 59-year-old male was arrested on a Stephens County warrant for Assault Causing Bodily Injury, Family Violence, on June 22.
  • A 23-year-old male was arrested on a Stephens County warrant for Terroristic Threat of Family/Household on June 23.
  • On June 23, a 40-year-old woman was arrested on Stephens County warrants for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana (under 2 oz.), Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 (less than 1 g.), and Theft (less than $100).
  • On June 23, a 25-year-old male was arrested on Jones County warrants for Assault Causing Bodily Injury (Family Violence), and Motion to Revoke Assault (Class A).
  • A 43-year-old woman was arrested on June 24 on a Stephens County warrant for a Terroristic Threat against a Peace Officer and transported to Stephens County Jail without incident.
  • A 23-year-old male was arrested on a Blue Warrant on June 25.
  • On June 26, an 18-year-old woman was arrested on a local Stephens County warrant.
