City of Breckenridge rescinds boil water notice for northeast part of town
June 12
19:13 2020

Effective Friday, June 12, the City of Breckenridge has rescinded a boil water notice that was issued earlier this week. The rescinded notice, effective June 10, was for Second Street to the north end of the system and Industrial Loop to North Parks Street.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to the interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.

The City took the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559-7249.
