Charles Roland Credicott
Charles Roland Credicott passed away on May 9, 2020, in Fort Worth, Texas. Services are pending with Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home at this time, and information will be posted at a later date.
Charles was born on December 3, 1943, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Virginia Lucille Johnston Credicott and George Henry Credicott. He graduated in 1963 from Breckenridge High School, where he played football, basketball, and ran track. He later attended and graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce.
He married Jean Ann Pellizzari in August of 1969. He taught high school in Plano, followed by Brazosport College, then TCC in Fort Worth, where he retired after more than 40 years in education. He continued to work part-time conducting welding inspections and certifications throughout the state. He was an avid sports fisherman.
A dear friend and welding instructor herself, Candace Ortaga of Hurst, nominated Charles for the AWS Certified Welding Inspector of the year. After his passing, Candace received word that Charles has received the honor. Mr. Credicott was called the “Encyclopedia of Welding” and was well-respected for his knowledge.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother and father; niece, Kaitlin Credicott; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frank and Jeanette Pellizzari; and his sister-in-law, Paula Pellizzari Bigham.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean Ann Pellizzari Credicott; brother, George E. Credicott; brothers-in-law, John and Trey Pellizzari; and nine nieces and nephews.
Charles leaves behind a great legacy not only as a loving uncles to all of his nieces and nephews, but also as someone that a host of friends and students will dearly miss.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Charles’ memory to either the Pellizzari Youth Fund, Breckenridge Meals on Wheels, or the Swenson Memorial Museum, and can be left at the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home office. Condolences can be made online at meltonkitchens.com.
