City lifts Boil Water Notice for central Breckenridge neighborhood

The City of Breckenridge has rescinded a Boil Water Notice issued on April 4. The rescinded notice is for 100-400 South Pecan, 1100 and 1200 blocks of West Wheeler and West Hullum.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to the interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.

The City took the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559-7249.
