The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the corner of Breckenridge Avenue and Walker Street in downtown Breckenridge is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, kicking off the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Mingle and Jingle shopping event.

The Pride of Breckenridge – Buckaroo Band will provide the Christmas music at the tree lighting. Last year, the tree lighting was canceled due to bad weather.

The Chamber’s Mingle and Jingle event will feature a variety of local businesses that are staying open late for holiday shoppers. For a complete list of participating businesses, click here to visit the Chamber’s Facebook page.

Breckenridge’s Christmas Parade is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, in downtown. The theme of this year’s parade is Another Charlie Brown Christmas. Last year’s parade was canceled, along with the tree lighting event.
