The City of Breckenridge rescinded two Boil Water Notice on Oct. 18 for the following areas:

  • Industrial Loop from Butte to North Graham Avenue, including North Butte and Brown Road north of Connell Street, originally issued on Oct. 8,
  • and all of Chaparral Lane, Willowick Street, London Lane, London Circle, Surrey Street, Friar Tuck Street, and High Mesa., originally issued on Oct. 10.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to the interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.

The City took the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559-7249.
