The City of Breckenridge has rescinded two Boil Water Notice on Oct. 3 for the following areas:

  • 100 block of North Harvey, and West Elm from Shelton to Harding, originally issued on Oct. 1,
  • and the south side of the highway from 1851 U.S. Highway 180 East to 3221 U.S. Highway 180 E., originally issued on Sept. 26.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to the interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.

The City took the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559-7249.
