City lifts two Boil Water Notices, one notice remains in place

The City of Breckenridge has rescinded the Boil Water Notice for the following areas:

  • U.S. 183 North from Seventh Street to the end of the system, and
  • Cactus Cove, Pembrook, Pembrook Street, Morningside Drive, Culver Road, Medina Court, Gaston Court, and Northglenn Road

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to current interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.

The City took the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling for the areas listed above.

There is still a Boil Water Notice for the area of West Seventh Street from Parks Street to Harvey Street.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559-7249.
