UPDATE: City lifts both current boil water notices
The City of Breckenridge has rescinded the Boil Water Notice for the area from the 100-200 blocks of North Court Street to the 100 and 200 blocks of West Elm Street. The original Boil Water Notice was issued on May 23. Additionally, the boil water notice for all of Ridge Road, Sha Lane, Sage Street, and Yucca Drive, which was issued on Wednesday, May 29, has also been lifted.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to current interruption in service, water from the system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.
The City took the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.
