BISD reception honors three retiring employees
Breckenridge Independent School District hosted a retirement reception for three employees on Thursday afternoon, May 2. The event honored kindergarten teacher Rowena Cyprian, who is retiring after 33 years; East Elementary custodian Rickey Whitaker, who is retiring after 23 years; and high school English teacher Marjorie Thompson, who is retiring after 16 years.
The party’s theme was based on the Dr. Seuss book “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” BISD employees and other community members stopped by the BISD Athletic Facility foyer to congratulate the retirees.
