City lifts boil water notice for northwest Breckenridge neighborhood

The City of Breckenridge has rescinded the Boil Water Notice for water customers in the area from North Baylor to North Pecan streets and from West Second Street to the north end of the system. The original Boil Water Notice was issued on March 12.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to current interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.

The City took the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559- 7249.
