The City of Breckenridge has rescinded three boil water notices issued earlier this month. The following boil water notices were canceled, effective Thursday, Jan. 24:

  • 500-900 Blocks of North Parks, issued on Jan. 10;
  • South Jackson to Lowell on South Side of Highway 180 East and all of Lowell, issued on Jan. 11;
  • and, the area between North Harvey Street and North Live Oak Street, from Fourth to Seventh streets, issued on Jan. 21.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to current interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption. The necessary corrective actions was taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality, and the City has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559- 7249.
