West Breckenridge neighborhood under Boil Water Notice
December 27
15:54 2018

The City of Breckenridge Public Works Director has issued a Boil Water Notice for a west Breckenridge neighborhood, effective Thursday, Dec. 27. The notice impacts water customers in the following area: from 3206 West Walker to 3800 West Walker; and all of Medina Court, Gaston Court, Morningside Drive, Cactus Cove Northglenn, and FM 3099 North. (See the image below for the area affected.)

Due to conditions in the water system which have occurred (water line break), the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the system to notify all customers in the affected area to boil their water prior to consumption.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

The Boil Water Notice will be in effect for a minimum of 48 hours. When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, water system officials will notify each customer directly in the affected area.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559- 7249.
