City lifts all current boil water notices
December 11
12:18 2018

Just before noon Tuesday, Dec. 11, Breckenridge Public Works Director Houston Satterwhite rescinded all three boil water notices that have been in effect this week.

The notices affected the following areas:

  • 13-17 Chaparral Lane, all of Friar Tuck, and London Circle
  • the 400-800 blocks of North Parks Street
  • from Camden to Jackson streets and from East Walker Street, including both the north and south sides of East Walker, to the southern end of system.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue the notices to inform water customers that due to an interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption. The necessary corrective actions was taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality, and the City has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559-7249.
